EPPO Reporting Service (1997/191) : first outbreak was on Prunus salicina cv. Red Beaut (practically symptomless) in Sevilla, Murcia and Valencia regions. Then on peach in Lerida region. Only PPV-D strain found. The disease is spreading in Valencia region, on apricot and P. salicina.
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/142) : spread in Valencia region continues. Also found in Extremadura (at very low levels).
EPPO Reporting Service (2005/050) : not detected in Castilla y León in 2004 surveys.
EPPO Reporting Service (2005/052) : local outbreak in Aragón in 2002, eradication measures. Surveys in 2003/2004 confirm eradication.
EPPO Reporting Service (2007/124) : strain D. Strain M eradicated (see also later publication from Capote et al., 2010).

From NPPO (2017): an outbreak was detected in Prunus dulcis in a nursery in the municipality of Pozohondo (Castilla La Mancha). All plants of the contaminated lot were destroyed.
