Comments
In 1995, 131 sites were surveyed all over the country and 617 samples were serologically tested. Positive results were obtained at 14 localities (on the mainland). All outbreaks are under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (1997/185) : found in Azores in 1996 in survey of islands of Terceira and Graciosa.

From NPPO (2018): PPV was detected in potted plants of Prunus domestica cv. Methley in a nursery located in the municipality of Lardosa (Centro region). Under eradication.
