A few tubers found infected by IF-test in Schleswig-Holstein only (EPPO Reporting Service 499/05).
EPPO Reporting Service (1998/155) : reported by Netherlands as intercepted in ware potatoes from Germany. There have been several such interceptions in recent years (by Netherlands, and also by France). The full situation in Germany has not been clarified, but the presence of the bacterium is not contested.
EPPO Reporting Service (1999/054) : in 1997, out of 13953 samples tested, 23 positive cases were found on seed potatoes and 41 on ware potatoes. In 1998, out of 13800 samples from the harvest tested by 1999-03, 18 positive cases were found on seed potatoes and 28 on ware potatoes.
EPPO Reporting Service (1999/116) : in 1998, out of 16551 samples tested, 15 positive cases were found on seed potatoes and 38 on ware potatoes.

EPPO Reporting Service (2001/043) : in the 1999 potato harvest, 18091 samples tested. Found in 16 samples of seed potatoes and 41 samples of ware and industrial potatoes.
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/189) : in the 2000 potato harvest, samples were tested of seed potatoes (12102), gene bank material (167), trade (571) and ware (5261). 22 cases were found in seed potatoes and 49 in ware potatoes.

EPPO Reporting Service (2003/086) : in the 2002 potato harvest, samples were tested of seed potatoes (10837), ware potatoes (4920) and others. 4 cases were found in seed potatoes and 27 in ware potatoes. Situation improved over previous years.
EPPO Reporting Service (2005/157) : the testing programme for 2004 found 5 cases in seed potatoes and 15 cases in ware potatoes. The ring rot situation was thus maintained at a low level in 2004.
