Comments
Yearly surveys for latent infections (all seed potatoes are tested). Outbreaks are occasionally found but always subject to eradication measures.

EPPO Reporting Service (1999/056) : no ring rot found in 7500 samples from the 1997 harvest. For the 1998 harvest, by 1999-03, 7100 samples had been tested. One positive result was obtained for seed potatoes of cv. Ottena grown from own seed in the province of Overijssel close to the German border. All clonally related consignments have been tested and found free.

EPPO Reporting Service (2000/165) : found in ware potatoes at one location. Two crops grown from the same seed-potato lot were found to be infected. Potatoes grown from other lots at the same location were not. Of 3 sister lots of the infested lot planted elsewhere in the country, one was found to be infested. All required measures under the EU ringrot directive are being taken.

EPPO Reporting Service (2003/014) : in 2001, 5 places of production found infested (including 2 with seed potatoes).

From NPPO (2022): officially declared eradicated.
