EPPO Reporting Service (2008/115) : 2 outbreaks were detected in June 2008 in Bayern and Nordrhein-Westfalen. The pest was found on Acer palmatum plants which had originally been imported from China. Under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2008/156) : the NPPO explained that 2008 findings of A. chinensis were not outbreaks because all commercialized plants were destroyed and no other findings were made in Germany.

EPPO Reporting Service (2009/174) : isolated findings made in Berlin and Hesse, all infested plants were destroyed. These infestations are considered transient.

In 2011, the NPPO officially declared the eradication of A. chinensis (all past records were only isolated findings on imported plants or single beetle).

EPPO Reporting Service (2014/183) : 1 beetle found in a private garden in Bayern. The plant (small Acer sp.) from which it had emerged has been destroyed and no other specimens were found.

Eradication was officially declared in September 2017.
