In 2009, official surveys confirmed the absence of the pest (NPPO, 2009).

EPPO Reporting Service (2012/050) : in June 2011, first found in 1 garden in the City of Odense on the Island of Funen. Three exit holes were observed on 2 Acer palmatum and 1 adult beetle was captured. All infested trees were destroyed, no further specimen or signs of infestation were found. Establishment considered unlikely. Intensive surveillance continues.

Official surveys carried out in 2012 did not detect the pest (but no pest status was given).

EPPO Reporting Service (2015/186) : after 5 years of intense surveillance without any findings or signs of possible presence, the NPPO concluded that the pest has been successfully eradicated.
