Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/045) : infestations found in 2000 on bonsai plants of Acer palmatum imported from China. Containment and eradication measures applied. No further infestations found.

EPPO Reporting Service (2004/002) : isolated finding in 2003-10 on Acer japonicum in a private garden

EPPO Reporting Service (2006/099) : after traceback studies on trees from the same imported consignment, and a detection survey in the area, A. chinensis is declared eradicated.

EPPO Reporting Service (2008/002) : found again in the Netherlands in December 2007 at 4 different locations on Acer trees (1 public garden and 3 companies importing trees and bonsais from Asia). Eradication measures are being taken.

EPPO Reporting Service (2009/173) : found again in mid-August 2009 at the same place (Westland, as in 2007) on a small number of Cornus and Crataegus trees, under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/025) : 2 living larvae were found in December 2009 in 1 Carpinus in the Boskoop area, under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/122) : the NPPO officially declared the eradication of A. chinensis from the Netherlands.
