EPPO Reporting Service (2013/001) : first detected in 2003, outbreaks found in Central Russia (Kaliningrad, Lipetsk, Tambov) and Southern Russia (Belgorod, Karachaevo-Cherkessia, Samara, Saratov, Stavropol, Volgograd, Voronezh), under official control.
According to Drenova et al. (2014): detected in 13 regions located in the European part of the Russian Federation (Central Russia and Southern Russia). Outbreaks can be grouped into 4 geographic clusters: Kaliningrad, Central Black Earth, Lower Volga, and Northern Caucasus & Ciscaucasia.

EPPO Reporting Service (2025/255) : appears in the 2024 report of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation as a quarantine pest of limited distribution in Russia: present in 19 federal subjects (512,370.132 ha).
