Local in south and south west. The rest of the country is practically free. Does not occur in nurseries, which are subject to regular phytosanitary inspections. No infection appeared in new areas in 1989 (EPPO Reporting Service 513/05, 1991).
From country itself (1991): occurred on three sites (120 ha) in 1991, i.e. infested area did not increase. See also EPPO Reporting Service (1993/198) . By 1996, still on 70 ha at two sites, no further spread. EPPO Reporting Service (1997/089) : no further spread, nurseries are free.
EPPO Reporting Service (1998/141) : present on 6 sites in 1997 but infested area has not increased.
EPPO Reporting Service (1999/057) : NPPO reports for 1998 present on 6 sites (98 ha), infested area has not increased. Sites for production of propagating material are free.
EPPO Reporting Service (2000/100) : occurred on 7 sites in 1999, but infested area has not increased. Nurseries are free.
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/083) : 5 sites (58 ha) in 2000. Infested area has not increased significantly. Nurseries remain free.
