EPPO Reporting Service (1996/08) : single record in 1957. No record since.

In 2011, the NPPO declared that ring rot has a restricted distribution.

From NPPO (2017): several outbreaks were reported in 2017, in the municipalities of Catalina, Ciumeşti, Foieni, Sfântul Gheorghe, Pleşcuţa, Vârfurile, Zăbala. Under eradication.

From NPPO (2018): several outbreaks were reported in 2017, in the municipalities of Argeş, Căpuşu Mare, Ciumeşti, Daia Română, Drajna, Foieni, Gheorgheni, Mândra, Mihai Viteazu, Mitocu Dragomirnei, Moara, Oraş Ulmeni, Oraş Râşnov, Polovragi, Rişca, Săcălăşeni, Zăbala. Under eradication.

From NPPO (2019): several outbreaks were reported in 2018, in the municipalities of Adămuş, Bahnea, Drăgus, Găneşti, Sânger, Voivodeni. Under eradication.

From NPPO (2022): several outbreaks detected during the annual national official monitoring programme on potato. Under eradication.
