Symptoms of leaf scorch and dieback had been observed on olive tree branches in Lushnja, Vlora and Saranda regions but results of analyses on olive and oleander samples were all negative (Cara et al., 2017). In 2018, the NPPO of Albania officially declared that the bacterium does not occur on olive trees on its territory.
