EPPO Reporting Service (2014/086) : in the USA, X. glabratus was first detected in Port Wentworth near Savannah (Georgia) in 2002 and mortality of Persea borbonica was noted soon after (caused by the fungus Raffaelea lauricola).

EPPO Reporting Service (2014/171) : found in Laurus nobilis (1 tree near Gainesville in Florida) and shown to be able to develop on this tree species.

EPPO Reporting Service (2016/070) : found in 2014 in Northern Louisiana (Lincoln, Clairborne and Union parishes) in association with Raffaelea lauricola on Sassafras albidum.

EPPO Reporting Service (2016/162) : found in Texas (trapped at several sites around Lumberton, Hardin county).

EPPO Reporting Service (2017/072) : found in 2015 in Arkansas near Warren (Bradley county).

Observed in 2019 in Kentucky and Tennessee, in association with Raffaelea lauricola on Sassafras albidum.
