EPPO Reporting Service 513/04.

EPPO Reporting Service (2002/023) : first reported in 1952 in tobacco and in 1954 in tomato, with Thrips tabaci as vector. Frequent outbreaks on tobacco in the field since then. In 1993, Frankliniella occidentalis was introduced, and TSWV then appeared in glasshouses all over the country.

In 2011, the NPPO confirmed that TSWV is widespread.
