Comments
One case was reported in 2019 on Ajuga plants imported from the Netherlands. Import checks conducted from 2019 to 2022 did not detect the virus. An official survey programme was launched in 2023 in nurseries producing Ajuga, Celosia, Hemerocallis, Hydrangea, Iris, Phlox, and Portulaca. The virus was detected in October 2023 on Ajuga, Hydrangea, Iris, Phlox in the provinces of Antwerp and East-Flanders. Tracing-back studies could link these findings to imports of potted plants via the Netherlands and Poland. All infected plants were destroyed.
