EPPO Global Database

Scirtothrips citri(SCITCI)

Distribution details in China (Jiangxi)

Situation
Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2022: Absent, unreliable record
Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2004/100) : considered as a major pest of Navel orange (Citrus sinensis) in the southern part of Jiangxi province, China

By browsing available databases, no other mention of S. citri in China was found since 2004. However the Chinese scientific literature is not easily accessible. This may be an misidentification with Scirtothrips dorsalis.
