EPPO Global Database

Scirtothrips citri(SCITCI)

Distribution details in India (Punjab)

Situation
Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2022: Absent, unreliable record
Comments
One publication in 2013 but not confirmed by trained taxonomists. Tyagi & Kumar (2016) do not list Scirtothrips citri. Previous records may be misindentification (e.g. with Scirtothrips dorsalis which causes damage on citrus).
Identified based on morphology by Kaur (2020).
