Situation
Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2022: Absent, unreliable record
Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2004/100) : considered as a major pest of Navel orange in the southern part of Jiangxi province, China.

By browsing available databases, no other mention of S. citri in China was found (but Scirtothrips dorsalis is damaging on citrus). However the Chinese scientific literature is not easily accessible.
