Comments
The database previously indicated that there was an earlier record, but that the pest was no longer found. The source of this record has not been traced. The NPPO later indicated a first report in 1999 (see below). In the literature, several authors consider that since 2000, it has become an important disease of pines (in particular on Pinus nigra).

EPPO Reporting Service (2001/144) : found in a nursery on Pinus nigra ssp. austriaca in 1999, and on field-grown trees in 2000. Survey led to further records on other Pinus spp.
