EPPO Reporting Service (1997/111) : R. solanacearum has never occurred in Slovenia. Intense testing since first reports in western results has given consistently negative results.
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/082) : systematic surveys since 1996. Only detected in 4 consignments of imported ware potatoes over period 1996/1999. In December 2000, one sample of domestic ware potatoes found infected. Derived from imported seed potatoes, and all growers having used the same batch were investigated. No further cases were found. Measures prescribed by the EU Control Directive applied.
From NPPO (2017): R. solanacearum has been eradicated.

------- In annual surveys from 2003-2016, R. solanacearum [phylotype IIB-1] was detected in 3 lots of ware potato (1 lot in 2010 and 2 in 2011) but was not detected in seed potato during this period. Official eradication measures were taken and in 2017 the NPPO declared the bacterium to have been eradicated.
