There had been records of PSTVd in Argentina in the past (see EPPO Reporting Service 509/17, an FAO record, a publication from Fernandez Valiela & Carderoni in 1965 ). However, COSAVE confirmed in 2008 that PSTVd has been successfully eradicated in Argentina.
EPPO Reporting Service (2009/034) : the NPPO of Argentina officially confirmed in 2003 the eradication of PSTVd. Since its eradication, PSTVd has not been detected druing ongoing surveys (as of 2009-02).
