EPPO Reporting Service (95/064): PCR analysis shows that the agent of Vergilbungskrankheit is closely related to potato stolbur phytoplasma and distinct from authentic grapevine flavescence dorée. EPPO Reporting Service (95/211) confirms that the pathogen is almost certainly identical with grapevine bois noir phytoplasma.
EPPO Reporting Service (99/034): the vector, Hyalesthes obsoletus, is widespread on weeds in German vineyards. Vineyards with a high abundance of Convolvulus arvensis showed a high incidence of Vergilbungskrankheit.
EPPO Reporting Service (2006/181) : a case of infection of potato found for the first time, apparently linked to the presence of the phytoplasma in surrounding weeds.
