Comments
From NPPO (2007): Stolbur phytoplasma has never been observed or detected in commercial potato crops. Stolbur symptoms have been observed in amateur crops where gardeners were producing their own seed potatoes year after year. But the presence of the phytoplasma was not confirmed in the laboratory.

From NPPO (2014): no findings were made during a survey (research project) carried out on strawberry, grape and potato in 2009-2011. In 2012, positive samples were found in a field used for seed potato certification (De Jonghe et al., 2013). Eradication measures were applied. Follow up surveys were carried out in 2013 on weeds in the field concerned and on the 2 seed potato lots used for multiplication, but no visual symptoms or positive samples were detected. In addition, all tests carried out on the potato production were negative.
