EPPO Reporting Service (2001/098) : detected in tomato fruits imported from Morocco into UK. Official tests in Morocco on the tomato-growing firm concerned, and other tomato farms, have all given negative results. The situation of PepMV in Morocco is thus that the virus is absent (doubtful records only).
EPPO Reporting Service (2002/092) : also detected in tomato fruits imported from Morocco into France and Germany (interception). However, the Moroccan NPPO indicated that PepMV was not found during surveys conducted in Morocco.
EPPO Reporting Service (2005/093) : detected in tomato seeds imported from Morocco into UK (interception).
EPPO Reporting Service (2007/098) and EPPO Reporting Service (2010/109) : on tomato fruits imported from Morocco into UK (interception).
EPPO Reporting Service (2016/143) : surveys conducted from October 2015 to April 2016 in 7 different regions confirmed that the virus is widespread in the country.
