Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2004/058) : monitoring programmes in place since 1997. No catches to date. But parts of the delimited areas in Alsace (FR) are located in German territory, and measures are being applied there.

EPPO Reporting Service (2007/146) : First incursions were reported in Baden-Württemberg and Bayern in summer 2007. Small numbers of beetles were caught. Eradication measures have been taken. Surveys continue.

According to Freir et al. (2015): in 2013 found mainly in the South (Baden-Württemberg, Rheinland Pflaz, Bayern, Sachsen) in 34 counties (7% of all counties). Only 9 ha were chemically treated. Slowly spreading towards the North. Maps show the spread of the pest from 2009 to 2013. No longer a quarantine pest for the EU.
