Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2003/143) : specimens trapped near Zaventem airport (Brussels) in sufficient numbers (52) to suggest that introduction might already have taken place in 2002. Under eradication

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/095) : on the 30th of April 2010, the NPPO of Belgium officially declared the eradication of the pest from its territory.

EPPO Reporting Service (2014/143) : trapped again in summer 2014 near Machelen. Under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2017/013) : the absence of the pest has been confirmed by surveys conducted in 2015 and 2016.

From NPPO (2024-03): following the deregulation of EU quarantine measures in 2014, monitoring and IPM programmes were implemented. Only a limited number of beetles were trapped in 2017-2019. Surveys were discontinued in Flanders in 2020, but continued in Walllonia where findings increased in 2021 and 2022. The pest is considered to be locally established.
