EPPO Reporting Service (1998/22) : also Antinaco-Los Colorados valley, La Rioja province.
EPPO Reporting Service (2000/006) : present in provinces of Buenos Aires, Rio Negro, Neuquen.
According to Lanzavecchia et al. (2008), the Andean-Patagonic valleys (Rio Negro province) and Malargüe, Sosneado, Uco, General Alvear and San Rafael valleys (Mendoza province) have been declared 'fruit fly-free area', but C. capitata could be caught in other provinces.
EPPO Reporting Service (2015/079) : 1 male was found in February 2015 in the urban area of Villa Regina (Rio Negro province) , and 1 female was caught near the initial detection site in March 2015. Under eradication.
In May 2018, COSAVE informed the EPPO Secretariat that an outbreak has been found in the district of Villa Atuel in the province of Mendoza. Under eradication.
