EPPO Reporting Service (2000/094) : first reported in France in 1999 in one tomato field in Gard Languedoc-Roussillon region). Eradication measures applied.
EPPO Reporting Service (2000/168) : surveys in 2000 in the area of the single 1999 find showed that the virus was present neither in tomato crops nor in the vector Bemisia tabaci. Officially declared eradicated.
EPPO Reporting Service (2002/164) : in 2002-07 found again in tomatoes in plastic tunnels in Bouches-du-Rhône department. Official control measures. Confirmed in EPPO Reporting Service (2003/027)
