Comments
Paper presented by the Slovakian Plant Protection Service to the EPPO Inspectors' Workshop at Nitra (1996) states that the first record in Slovakia was in 1993 at Skalica in the NW. There were 4 further records in 1994 and 1995, in the vicinity of Bratislava. The pest has thus been recorded only in a very small area in the west of the country.

EPPO Reporting Service 527/07, which was previously cited as evidence of presence in Slovakia, in fact refers to an ill-defined situation in former Czechoslovakia.

By 1998 (EPPO Conference at Pruhonice) spreading to more areas and more host plants.

In 2011, the NPPO considered that TSWV was absent from Slovakia.
