Comments
On wild Solanum spp. only.

However, this is denied by the Mexican Plant Protection Service, which considers it altogether absent, and cites its absence from two lists of fungal diseases in Mexico:

Niederhauser, the author of the original record in Mexico, confirms (pers. comm.) that the collections were made in 1952/1953 on Solanum stoloniferum at 3 locations in the western side of the Valley of Mexico, near the highway to Toluca, within a few km of a park called Desierto de los Leones, in the course of collecting material for breeding purposes. Herbarium specimens were deposited. Niederhauser adds further that, to his knowledge, S. endobioticum has never been found on cultivated potato in Mexico. The area was visited again later and the disease was never seen again. The area is now largely built up.
