Dothistroma needle blight disease has been known in Greece since the early 1980s.

* Tsopelas P, Barnes I, Soulioti N, Wingfield MJ (2013) Dothistroma septosporum in Greece on Pinus brutia and Pinus nigra plantations. Plant Disease 97(09), 1247-1248.
------- Found on Pinus brutia and P. nigra plantations in Lagada (Thessaloniki regional unit, Central Macedonia). Many trees found infested but low severity (no mortality observed).
