Race 3: widespread, only Biotype II (Canale &Peralta, 1983). Detected for the first time in the 1970s, present on potato and capsicum.
Race 1: Biotype I reported in 1984 (Peralta et al.,1984), on glasshouse tomatoes in Bella Unión (Artigas district). Quarantine mesures were immediately undertaken. The pest is considered eradicated since 1985.
Race 2: this pest has never been cited nor detected in Uruguay; therefore, it is declared never to occur.
