------- Extensive survey of bacterial wilt performed In 2013 and 2014. R. pseudosolanacearum [phylotype I] (63% biovar 3 and 7% biovar 4) amongst 70 isolates. Biovar 4 was obtained from tomato and chili whereas 30 % of the isolates were R. solanacearum [phylotype IIB-1] (biovar 2) from potato. All tomato, eggplant and chili strains belonged to phylotype I, whereas potato strains comprised phylotype I and phylotype II. Strains in phylotype I were the most prevalent in all surveyed areas. Strains in phylotype I were further divided into seven sequevars [PI-15, PI-17, PI-46, PI-47, PI-48, PI-unknown 1 or PI-unknown 2].
