Comments
Widespread in commercial orchards. Great efforts are being made to ensure virus-freedom of nuclear and commercial propagating material. Planting material from nurseries is now virtually free.

EPPO Reporting Service (97/187): sweet cherry isolate PPV-C occurs in Hungary as well as the conventional strains (PPV-D and PPV-M).

EPPO Reporting Service (2003/054) : one isolate (M strain) found on Prunus spinosa.

EPPO Reporting Service (2007/124) : strains D, M and C.
