EPPO Reporting Service (1993/121) : spreading in grapevine.
EPPO Reporting Service (1994/166) : Samples from Sicilia and Emilia-Romagna are not serologically related to flavescence dorée phytoplasma. However, according to EPPO Reporting Service (95/171), a phytoplasma is definitely involved.
EPPO Reporting Service (1994/179) also considers that a form of yellows from Puglia is not true flavescence dorée.
EPPO Reporting Service (1995/231) : both grapevine flavescence dorée phytoplasma and a phytoplasma of the aster yellows group (grapevine bois noir phytoplasma?) seem together to cause severe yellows in Liguria.
EPPO Reporting Service (1997/46) : found with flavescence dorée region of Treviso (Veneto).
EPPO Reporting Service (1997/77) : bois noir phytoplasma only (i.e. stolbur) found in Campania.

From NPPO (2011): phytoplasmas belonging to the stolbur group were detected in symptomatic samples of Monarda fistulosa in the Herb Garden, in the municipality of Casola Valsenio (province of Ravenna), Emilia-Romagna region.
