EPPO Reporting Service (95/210): on grapevine, up to this time only grapevine bois noir phytoplasma (i.e. stolbur) was found in Spain, not flavescence dorée.
EPPO Reporting Service (96/050): stolbur first found in 1977. Since then, in Murcia, Ebro valley, Zaragoza, Badajoz and Logrono. Serious symptoms on tomato and capsicum in Valencia in 1994.

From Batlle & Laviña (2011); Sabaté et al. (2014), both bois noir and its vector (Hyalesthes obsoletus) occur in Aragon, La Rioja, Cataluña, Pais Vasco (Rioja alavesa), and Navarra. In surveyed vineyards, disease incidence could vary from 5% to 80%.
