Comments
An undetermined grapevine yellows occurs in USA. According to EPPO Reporting Service 94/166 (referring to a comparative French study using serological techniques): the pathogen in New York is not serologically related to true flavescence dorée from France. However, according to Chen et al. (1993) the grape yellows pathogen in NY state is related in DNA probe tests to grapevine flavescence dorée from Europe (Chen et al., 1993).
