Pseudocercospora fijiensis(MYCOFI)

Distribution details in Brazil (Minas Gerais)

Situation
Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2013: Absent, unreliable record
Comments
M. fijiensis was first reported in Minais Gerais in 2005. However, studies conducted from 2009 to 2011 (800 samples from 80 banana fields - 20 municipalities) only detected Mycosphaerella musicola. The absence of M. fijiensis may be due to a misidentification or the displacement of M. fijiensis by M. musicola.
