EPPO Reporting Service (2014/008) : first found in California (San Francisco county) during a survey carried out from 2008 to 2011 in golf courses.

EPPO Reporting Service (2015/035) : however, the above record was not confirmed during a nematode survey conducted from October 2012 to March 2013 in golf courses in several counties of California (including San Francisco county). USDA-APHIS considers that M. fallax does not occur in the USA.
