EPPO Reporting Service (2012/074) : first found in March 2012 in a sample of Diaphorina citri and in plant material collected from a citrus tree, in a residential area near Los Angeles (Hacienda Heights).
EPPO Reporting Service (2015/133) : found in plant material taken from a kumquat (Fortunella japonica) tree located in a residential area near San Gabriel, Los Angeles county.
In 2019 and 2020 quarantined area expanded to portions of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.
