The Estonian regulations of 1993 cite F. occidentalis as a quarantine pest of limited distribution in Estonia.

EPPO Reporting Service (2001/174) : found in only 3 out of 78 samples. Only 1 glasshouse was concerned and the pest is now under eradication.

From NPPO (2011), now widespread.
