EPPO Reporting Service (2008/199) : mainly occurs in the cantons of Graubunden, Ticino, Valais, and Vaud. Several foci have also been reported from the German-speaking part.

* Bissegger, M.; Heiniger, U. (1991) Chestnut blight north of the Swiss alps. European Journal of Forest Pathology 21 (4), 250-252.
------- First recorded on chestnuts in southern Switzerland in 1947 and spread through regions south of the Alps. Observed in an inner alpine valley in 1986 and at sites on the plateau north of the Alps from 1989. Young Quercus petraea trees were also infected.
