Comments
D. citri was first found in Florida in 1998. It was then found in other Southern US states.

EPPO Reporting Service (98/159): first found in 1998-06 in southeastern Florida (Palm Beach, Broward and Martin counties, Indian River citrus-growing area). Too widespread to be eradicated.

EPPO Reporting Service (2003/033) : first found in 2001-09 in Texas, under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2008/118) : first found in May 2008 in Louisiana. In June 2007, Liberibacter asiaticus was also detected in a few citrus trees. Under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2008/160) : first found in August 2008 in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina. First found in California in September 2008. Under eradication.

Also in Arizona (all counties), under eradication (NAPPO, 2017).

EPPO Reporting Service (2022/135) : conservation biological control for the management of Diaphorina citri in California.
