EPPO Reporting Service (2003/159) , EPPO Reporting Service (2004/089) : ring rot was found in 2003-11 in seed potatoes at one farm in Wales. Intensive tests found no related infestations. Outbreak now considered to be contained, under official control.
Official surveys carried out in the UK did not detect ring rot in the 2008 potato crops. This outbreak is now considered eradicated (Giltrap, 2009).
Not detected during official surveys carried out on UK ware and seed potato crops of 2009, 2011.
In 2012/2013, following a warning of the Dutch NPPO that several seed lots cv. Luciole exported to the UK might be infected, tracing-back studies detected 5 infected samples. All material concerned was destroyed. Officially declared eradicated in 2017.
