Comments
The pest is occasionally detected due to resurgences in Central America. In all cases, eradication measures are implemented.

IICA Caraphin report, Jan-Jun 1994. Belize Pesticides Control Board, through IICA, indicates that detections were made in 1987, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1993 and 1994, but eradications were effected promptly.

From NPPO (2018): detections were made in June and July 2018 in several locations (Lime Caye, Mango Creek, Mafredi, Hunting Caye, Riverdale, Placencia). Under eradication.
