According to Chapin & Arcangioli (2007), first observed in 1983 in Ticino (Mendrisiotto, shores of Lake Lugano, Malcantone) and confirmed in 1986. Small outbreak found in 1987 in Morges (Vaud canton). Dectected on 3 sites in 2001, 2002, 2003 in Geneva.
