EPPO Reporting Service (2017/131) : A. planipennis is common in Khabarovsk and Vladivostok (Primorye) and more frequently associated with the introduced North American green ash (Fraxinus pennsylvanica) than the Asiatic ash species (F. mandschurica, F. chinensis).

------- Reported in 2007 to be common in the region of Khabarovsk. A whole plantation of Fraxinus pennsylvanica died . But in this region, the beetle is very rare on F. chinensis and F. mandshurica occurring in natural stands.
