Found in Croatian forests in oak (Quercus spp.), alder (Alnus spp.) and silver fir (Abies alba) wood. Although there is an old (and unconfirmed) record of its presence in former Yugoslavia (Androic, 1966), it is considered that it appeared recently in Croatia.
