Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2013/245) : during a survey carried out in 2011-2012 in the province of Syracuse (Sicilia), X. perforans was detected in 2 greenhouse tomato crops showing pith necrosis, vascular discolouration, longitudinal splits and external lesions on stems.

NPPO (2021): first found in 2017 in Tuscany on Solanum lycopersicum in a nursery. Eradication measures were applied. Inspections in 2018, 2019 and 2020 in Tuscany did not detect X. perforans. The bacterium is considered eradicated from Tuscany.
