From country itself (1992): detected in 1992 in plant material imported from USA into Bulnes, VIII Región. Eradication procedures were immediately applied: all the plants were burned, the field was put under quarantine and a national survey was undertaken in all the locations where mother plants from that nursery were used. The pest has not been detected in any of those. The pest is therefore considered absent eradicated and is listed as an A1 pest for Chile.
