Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2011/196) : reported in 2011 on 1 Vitis plant in a vineyard (0.53 ha) in the Małopolskie voivodeship (Southern Poland). The infested plant was destroyed (and those in its near vicinity). Surveys are continuing.

The paper from Halaj et al. (2011) provides additional information on the above finding: oviparous wingless females, larvae and eggs were collected from leaf galls on a plant (cv. 'Marechal Foch') on 2010-07-17, in the village of Regulice near Alwernia. In fact, the first leaf galls had been observed in 2008 (again in 2009) on this single plant. This plant was removed but in 2010, neighbouring plants (cvs. 'Marechal Foch' and 'Leon Millot') showed infection (according to the declaration made by the NPPO, these plants have also been removed).
